Tallied 3rd Clerc Classic Champs for Boys!

CSD Boys Varsity Basketball captures its 3rd ever champion at the 14th annual Clerc Classic Champion at Indiana School for the Deaf. The boys team defeated Texas School for the Deaf in the first round, 58-32. They then defeated Maryland School for the Deaf, 43-40 in the semifinals. The team endured a hard-fought game with the host school, Indiana School for the Deaf and soared to its 3rd championship, 44-34. In each of its 3 victories, the team had 3 different leading scorers, a testament to the team’s strong belief in TEAM, TEAM, and TEAM and nothing else.

Senior Trace Martin was chosen as the MVP of the classic and Senior Connor Baer along with Freshman Jax Pedersen were selected on the All-Tournament team.

CSD Girls Varsity Basketball team were denied its 3rd consecutive Clerc Classic champion losing by one point to Maryland. Sophomore Adele Daniels and Senior Darriyan Thomas were chosen on the All-Tournament team.

The Cheerleading team did an outstanding job supporting the Girls and Boys team the entire weekend and Nelson Palacios Arrechea was selected on the All-Tournament Cheer Team.
